All Souls Church, Christchurch Warren and Mahoney Architects
I was the Project Architect for this NZIA award winning community facility in Merivale which replaces the original St Marys church destroyed by the Canterbury earthquakes.
A feature of the new buildings is the salvaged stained glass windows which have been restored and hung within the chapel for future generations to enjoy. The buildings won an NZIA award for Public buildings. Link: http://www.nzia.co.nz/awards/local/award-detail/8836

Deutsches Historisches Museum, Berlin I. M. Pei Architect
While at Pei Partnership Architects in New York I worked for I.M. Pei Architect on the concept design for this museum in Berlin.
Convent of the Sacred Heart School, New York Murphy Burnham & Buttrick Architects
I was project architect for MBB on this multi-phased
addition, renovation and modernization of the historic landmarked institutional facility. The building had previously been the mansion built for the railroad financier Otto Kahn across the street from Andrew Carnegie.
The school is situated at 1 East 91st Street in Manhattan two blocks up 5th Avenue from the
Guggenheim Museum with stunning views out over Central Park.
I was responsible for the
coordination of construction documents and construction administration and observation for this $US
25 million project.
St Johns Church Latimer Square, Christchurch Warren and Mahoney Architects
I was the Project Architect for these community facilities designed to complement and serve Japanese architect Shigeru Ban's Cardboard Cathedral in Latimer Square.
The original St Johns church buildings had been destroyed by the Canterbury earthquakes and there was (and still is) a need for a transitional cathedral while the Christchurch Cathedral is restored in the square.
Originally designed as a group of three buildings that would form a tranquil courtyard adjacent to the main building. The facilities included a central church hall with a commercial kitchen and two office wings that would figuratively reach out to the worship space. Unfortunately only the streetside office block was completed due to private considerations outside the Architects control.
Design considerations included how we could meaningfully repurpose the salvaged relics as well as how the buildings could relate to the Cardboard Cathedral and the existing trees and landscape that form memories of the past. The appearance of a new stadium next door also made things interesting!
